About Us

Our journey is a little different. We grew up in a small town in Georgia with strong family values, room to make mistakes, and a "get it done" attitude. Our early focus was on providing exceptional service in all areas. This became evident in the professional world while starting and running multiple service businesses. Our first was a landscape company in high school followed by a tile installation company in college. Our yards were exceptional and our tile work detailed. From here, our stories vary a little; Michael with a focus on Finance, Customer Service, and tech Startups and Daniel with focus on Operations, Consulting, and Startups.

 

Michael - Partner 

 

After studying Finance at Kennesaw State University, Michael spent a decade in the tech space building, scaling, and managing customer-facing teams at fast-growing startups. It taught him to be scrappy.

 

"Customers are the lifeblood of your business. Crafting a great customer experience is hard but there's a direct correlation between happy customers and the success of your business. If you have a great customer experience, they'll stay with you for a long time and tell their friends about you. Retention and referrals will be strong and the brand will become a staple in your community. Working with tech startups taught me how to be scrappy and to get comfortable in the trenches. I also had a front-row seat to the wonders of how technology can be used to help operate the business more efficiently and improve your team's life and the lives of your customers. One of the highlights of my career was building, leading, and managing the customer-facing team at a B2B startup. The team grew to 35+ and the company grew 15,000% landing on the Inc. 5,000 list. We worked with SMBs as well as some of the world's biggest Fortune 500 brands and we were able to consistently have a Customer Satisfaction rating that scored in the 90th percentile."

 

His finance knowledge, tech startup experience, and customer-centric mindset give him a unique skill set and perspective when it comes to growing and developing a team.

Daniel - Partner

Daniel wanted the best of both worlds; engineering and business. The result was getting a BS degree in Industrial Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration. Since then, Daniel has played a key role in creating and implementing operational improvement plans for companies around the world and for companies in his own backyard of Atlanta. He is currently an Operating Partner at a local luxury General Contractor. 

 

“A position where I get to work out a team solving complex problems is how I would describe my perfect role. While consulting and solving large supply chain problems with various companies, my wife one day noted that the part I love the most about my job is the “whiteboard” session. All partners stuck in a room hashing out the problem and building a solution that would actually work. From then on, I sought roles that would enable me to solve problems for clients. While in the supply chain world, I worked with executives to generate $16M in annualized savings across a number of companies while improving their ability to service their customers. I learned two key lessons from this experience, all problems can be solved with the right people in the room and the right solution has to involve the client. These two lessons propelled me further into the world of operations where I’ve spent time building a go-to-market team for a young software start-up and now to my current role of leading the operations of a luxury General contractor, currently my favorite role. Why my favorite? I get to solve real problems for clients where it matters most, at HOME, with an amazing team. And the lessons mentioned above, still hold true. Right people, client-focused solutions result in happy clients, happy teams and strong company growth!”

Michael currently lives in Midtown with his wife Taylor and Australian Shepherd (Bailey). Daniel lives in Westside Atlanta with his wife Leah, their two kids, and Kingsford Doodle (Albus).
